Which Mobile Networks Offer 5G in Pakistan?
Jazz, Zong and Ufone were authorized by PTA to start 5G services in Pakistan.
PTA stated that operators would introduce 5G in phases and publish updated information about covered areas and compatible devices.
Jazz reported that its 5G network had reached 1,000 live sites across 10 cities by August 27, 2026. These included Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Gujranwala.
Zong also provides an official 5G coverage map where users can check coverage by city.
How Can I Check 5G Coverage in My Area?
The easiest way to check is to use your mobile operator’s official coverage map.
You should also make sure that:
- Your smartphone supports 5G.
- Your SIM is compatible with the network.
- 5G is enabled in your phone’s network settings.
- You are inside an area covered by your operator’s 5G network.
PTA has advised consumers that 5G availability can vary according to location, network readiness and device compatibility.
Does the Whole City Have 5G Coverage?
No. This is an important point.
When a city is listed as a 5G city, it does not necessarily mean that 5G works everywhere in that city.
5G networks are being deployed site by site. Buildings, geography, indoor conditions, network load and your device can also affect the actual signal and speed.
Operators themselves note that coverage maps are approximate and that actual indoor coverage may differ from the map.
